Bioceramics
Advanced bioceramic materials engineered for additive manufacturing.
Adva Cera provides Bioceramics specifically developed for additive manufacturing applications in medical, dental, and orthopedic fields. These advanced bioceramic materials are designed to support biocompatibility, osteoconductivity, and controlled resorption—enabling patient-specific solutions that align with natural healing processes.
Our Bioceramics portfolio supports the production of complex, porous geometries using ceramic additive manufacturing, allowing for precise control over structure, performance, and biological interaction. This approach enables customized implants and scaffolds that integrate seamlessly with surrounding bone tissue.
Applications:
Tricalcium Phosphate (TCP)
Tricalcium Phosphate (TCP) is a widely used bioceramic material known for its excellent biocompatibility, bioresorbability, and osteoconductivity. TCP is commonly utilized in regenerative medicine and bone substitution applications due to its ability to support new bone growth while gradually resorbing within the body.
Using additive manufacturing, TCP can be formed into patient-specific, resorbable implants with controlled pore structures and complex geometries. During the healing phase, TCP implants are designed to be resorbed and replaced by native bone tissue, supporting natural regeneration without long-term foreign material retention.
Hydroxyapatite (HA)
Hydroxyapatite (HA) is a naturally occurring mineral and a primary component of human bone. As a Bioceramics material, HA offers exceptional biocompatibility and osteoconductivity, making it ideal for applications that require strong biological integration.
Additively manufactured HA enables the creation of well-defined, porous, and patient-specific structures that promote bone cell growth. Once implanted, HA scaffolds support bone ingrowth while the material is gradually resorbed and replaced with newly formed natural bone.
